How does Karma work?

Karma is generally seen as a moral calls and effect in which a force good or bad created by ones metal and physical actions determines ones  universally applicable and can only be transcended by those who have achieved Nirvana or freedom from rebirth.OMG so this means that if am good and nice and have good Karma I will have a good after life.......SWEET!
